How to get through the ADHD drug table

Have you ever had to go for a day or more without a prescription?

Do you know the physical discomfort and anxiety of waiting for medication to be sorted out?

Have you ever spent hours on the phone with your doctor's office, the insurance company, or the pharmacy waiting for your ADHD medication to be filled?

If so, you, like me, are addicted to drugs.

Over the years I have heard clients tell me about their challenges that can be diagnosed, just to lower their expectations when they find themselves addicted to ADHD drugs. What is the treatment for ADHD? This is a complex cycle of trying to replenish ADHD medication. Recommendations are not forwarded to pharmacies or local faxes that are missing from the medical online medical mail system. Pharmacist's suspicious gaze while taking medicine. Refusal to pay for prescription drugs by insurance companies. Countless dead ends, shocks, twists, and turns to get the written prescription through the process and fill it. ADHD treatment bubbles are a frustrating network where many people with ADHD find themselves stuck knowing where to turn and sadly many people give up and never realize the potential benefits of ADHD medication. Don't take the opportunity to experience.

In principle, filling out prescriptions should be an easy task. In fact, it goes away very easily. Let me tell you about my latest experience trying to fill my medicine. I know many of you will understand.

I called for an appointment and went to see my doctor a month later who, after waiting 25 minutes and 10 minutes for an appointment, prescribed my medication. When I left the clinic I was told that the 14-day short-term prescriptions would be called to my local pharmacy and an email/fax would be sent to Express Scripts, the pharmacy I had ordered. OK, Doc.

Not too bad. Until (you see it coming, don't you?) A plan is as good as it gets.

The next day, my local pharmacy auto-attendant asked me to call (good feature) to get my short-term temporary medicine ready. I was relieved and a little surprised that it wasn't complicated. Too easy, I thought. I'm going to pick them up on the way to the airport and to be sure, wait another 15 minutes.

You see where it goes, don't you?

I arrived at the pharmacy a long time ago, tried to have faith and trust in the system ... after all they made sure my prescription was ready, right? I waited patiently for two people in front of me to pick up my prescriptions and seek pharmacy advice ... don't worry ... don't worry, lots of time.

My turn. I went ahead, gave my name to the pharmacist and they went around to get my prescription. The pharmacist placed two bags on the table, called me ... it costs less than 10 ... Hooray! Wow huh ... happy dancing. I feared for my life that I would lose everything.

Then ...

wait a minute. I have three recipes. "Hello Mr. Pharmacist, I have to take three medicines today ... there are only two."

At this point I was still hoping ... I wanted to believe in this "pill content system" and then I heard those horrible words ... "The doctor re-sorted the three drugs, but the excise until next month Not covered by your insurance. "

What are you waiting for?

And then, within a nanosecond, my stomach went down, my pulse quickened and I started to look red. I'm frustrated with the whole system. Disappointed because I trust everyone to do their job. Annoyed by the fact that so many people get caught up in this medical error for a little bit of support or finding a map ...

Additional note: I will admit this ... I have a problem with drugs in this country. It's a crazy system, full of twists and turns. We hope to navigate to get a recipe. This is complicated by a money-driven insurance company that decides what medical care I get and what I don't. The last time I checked, the insurance company didn't have a health license; They have no training to decide if I should continue treatment. My doctor, M.D. High should be the one that medically decides what is best for my health.
